Primary objective

As we scale and grow our operations, we have an opportunity for an experienced Engagement Manager (Power Platform) to open up and evolve a new market and approach for Barhead, working with new technology, multiple clients, and across varied projects.

This role combines both product knowledge leadership with customer advocacy and solution design to deliver a unique, hybrid, opportunity. You will be the critical interface between our internal technical teams and customers and support them through their adoption of innovative Power Platform solutions. The role covers a range of pre-sales and delivery activities.

Sales Support

  • Lead pre-sales and scoping engagements to produce customer proposals for Power Platform solutions. The Engagement Manager is responsible for:
  • Develop a working relationship with Barhead Sales Directors, Customers and Microsoft stakeholders.
  • Define strategic solutions and tactical implementation approaches to support customer business problems.
  • Supporting sales calls and performing detailed scoping engagements.
  • Leverage and adapt Barhead assets for new opportunities.
  • Owning detailed project effort estimates and associated resource plans.
  • Producing and/or leading scoping outputs such as Statements of Work and Power Platform specific High-level Solution Designs.
  • Mentoring and supporting the delivery team performing scoping activities, and reviewing their outputs.


  • Perform project delivery activities, including project initiation and definition phases:
  • Subject Matter Expert for the Power Platform capabilities.
  • Oversee various concurrent customer engagements.
  • Delivery of Power Platform advisory service offering.
  • Team member of and support for the Barhead’s Power Platform Center of Excellence Go To Market offerings.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into solutions that best leverage the Power Platform.
  • Support knowledge sharing and solution delivery against initial project vision and objectives.
  • Identify subsequent areas for solution enhancement and expansion.
  • Other project delivery roles relating to Power Platform practice from time to time as required.

  • Support the Power Platform practice team activities to grow the team’s capabilities and assets:
  • Growing the team’s knowledge base, refinement and expansion of service offerings and support materials for delivery.
  • Maintain their knowledge of the Power Platform’s capabilities and new release features.
  • Develop relationships with the Microsoft stakeholder


  • Identifying and developing end-to-end solution designs.
  • Providing product leadership for identified or emerging risks and issues with regard to migration, consolidation, standardisation, automation and virtualisation.
  • Taking into consideration the necessary technology and performance requirements to support the business solution.
  • Build and sustain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.

These are the basic responsibilities today but, as the company and the position evolves, you will be provided with different functions to support Barhead, and its customers.

Key Skills/Competencies

  • 5+ years working experience as a Consultant (or technical Business Analyst) in a Consultancy / System Integrator / Cloud Software Vendor – please note this is on CRM applications, not Telco or Infrastructure.
  • Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365 certifications and knowledge of latest features and advancements.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple engagements within tight timeframes.
  • Business acumen to understand business objectives, challenges, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management at senior levels, technology and business stakeholders.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform and/or comparable platforms such as Salesforce, Oracle, etc in a similar role (5+ years in similar role based on level).
  • Proven consulting experience and leading solution definition for enterprise customers
  • Exposure to pre-sales activities, including detailed project planning and effort estimation activities.
  • Understand agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Workshop facilitation skills.
