On 01 November 2022, Barhead held a party to celebrate the Melbourne Cup. Guests from Microsoft, customers and prospects were spotted at Avenue on Chifley, one of the Sydney CBD’s spots for dining, drinking and events.

While waiting for the ‘race that stops the nation’ to start, guests and attendees were treated to drinks, canapés and a fun game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

From start to finish, guests were at the edge of their seats. In a race full of ups and downs and unexpected surprises, they kept their eyes glued to the screen as Gold Trip, in defiance of disadvantages stemming from the soft, muddy ground, charged ahead of Geelong Cup winner Emissary to finish first and win the Melbourne Cup.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Melbourne Cup party without a Best Dressed Contest. Guests attended in bright-colored dresses and sharp suits, but there could only be one winner who would take home the prize, courtesy of our friends at Avenue on Chifley. It was ARN Editor Julia Talevski who took out the top prize, with her floral-inspired ensemble.
