Power Apps for Police

Microsoft Australia, in partnership with Barhead Solutions, is pleased to bring you the Power Apps for Police workshops.

Attendees are invited to gain new insight into global best practice approaches to Power Apps for Police, including perspectives from Microsoft Public Safety & Justice Industry leaders and demonstrations of leading PS&J Power App solutions. The Power Apps platform enables PS&J organisations to quickly deliver powerful, connected solutions to their command, community & first responders.

Attendees can participate to gain hands-on experience in building an innovative canvas app designed for the frontline. With a focus on transforming a police officer’s pocket notebook, police agencies can leverage a range of digital capabilities to support them in the field. From recording detailed notes via keyboard or voice-to-text dictation, to quickly and easily searching and collating details for reporting and investigation.

As the Industry Lead, Nichole drives Microsoft’s strategy for the public safety and justice industry in Australia. With over 25 years of experience working in the technology industry for global companies, Nichole has a clear understanding of the needs and challenges of customers in law enforcement, first responders, emergency services, intelligence, justice, courts and corrections agencies.

 

David Williams, Director of Business Programs, Public Safety & Justice Worldwide

Proven, effective leader with extensive experience in logistics operations and management. Expertise in planning, executing, and supervising complex Leadership, special operations, Security, anti-terrorism, national intelligence, risk analysis and counter-insurgency requirements. Highly skilled at developing people and teams through mentorship and empowerment while fostering open communication in an environment of challenge and change.
 

 

Ryan Stephens, Lieutenant, Atlanta Police Department

Lt. Ryan Stephens of the Atlanta Police Department holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Reinhardt University and is a Georgia POST-certified instructor. He is currently overseeing the department’s Robbery Unit. Previously, he was part of the centralisation of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and supervised the Domestic Violence Unit. During his time in CID, he worked to streamline unit reporting throughout the Major Crimes Section and is currently working to improve information sharing department-wide.

 

Danny Kidd, NSW Police Central Metro North Supervisor, Youth Command

Danny Kidd
has played a pivotal role in collaborating with Barhead on the development of the new RISEUP app that is built on Microsoft Power Platform. It is his team that liaises with young people in the area who are known to police, are in need of mentoring or a general helping hand and who have been initial users of the app.

Darren Henstock, KPMG National Law Enforcement Lead

Darren Henstock is currently an Associate Director at KPMG but formerly the Innovation and Future Lead for Western Australia Police Force’s Digital Policing Programme. Darren combines over 25 years of policing experience in the UK and Australia with academic research. He has played a leading role in implementing new technologies and introducing the cultural changes needed to bring policing agencies together on their journey.

 

Lisa Crosbie, Technology Evangelist for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, Microsoft MVP

Lisa Crosbie is a Microsoft Business Applications MVP (Most Valuable Professional) and our Technology Evangelist for Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. She leads our program of training and events which has helped over 5,000 people get stared with Power Platform, and runs demos, hackathons, and workshops at Barhead Solutions to help customers understand how to get the most out of Microsoft Business Applications. She is a podcaster, YouTuber, blogger and regular presenter at Microsoft and community events.
